10 Blog Post Ideas
Day 11 of ProBlogger’s 31 days to build a better blog is all about coming up with blog post ideas. This has been my main stumbling block – I feel like everything has been written before and it probably has. But I know I can still contribute to making the weird and wonderful world of websites less confusing to people who have never had one before and are bamboozled by technical speak.
In terms of a topic, it’s often when people sit down to write a blog post that they get stuck but brainstorming ahead of time means when you sit down to write, you already have the topic ready to rock.
So, Darren suggests a simple way to come up with blog post ideas. It’s actually a cracker so here goes:
Grab a piece of paper and a pen and draw a line horizontal across the page. To the left of it, write the letter a and to the right of it, write the letter b.
a _______________________________________________ b
a is the where the people who come to your website are at, or a profile of people who come to your website.
So for me, it’s mainly people who have never had a website before starting their own small business and have no clue where to start.
And b is where you want them to be after reading your blogs.
So for me it’s having more of an idea after reading my very simple posts on where to begin and the process of having a website created for them.
One blog post idea might be: what is hosting?
Another might be: how to register a domain name and who with?
You get the picture.
I’ve come up with 10 ideas so now I have to schedule some time to write them…
